How to make them

Find the complete recipe with measurements in the recipe card below. Make the vegan buttermilk by stirring the soy milk and apple cider vinegar together in a glass measuring cup. Set it aside to curdle for a few minutes. Next, whisk the flour, baking powder, garlic powder, salt, and cayenne pepper together in a large bowl. Gently mix the buttermilk and melted vegan butter into the dry ingredients until a thick dough has formed. Finish by folding in the shredded vegan cheddar cheese. If you don’t like spicy food, feel free to omit the cayenne pepper! Use a ¼ measuring cup to scoop the dough out of the bowl and onto a baking sheet, leaving room in between each one.
