I’m not calling this an egg cream because people feel VERY strongly about their regional foods (this one hails from Brooklyn), so I’m just calling this a peppermint chocolate soda. But it’s pretty much an egg cream.

How to Make and Old Fashioned Chocolate Peppermint Soda

This makes one serving, just for you. This would also be a really fun recipe to do at a party or gathering. Just set all the ingredients out on the counter and let people make their own. You could display the instructions for easy mixing!

This peppermint chocolate soda would be an easy addition to an Italian Soda Bar. Looking for other fun holiday drinks? Consider these tasty options:

Can I make these ahead of time? Since these require very cold milk and soda water, and you want to retain the carbonation, these chocolate sodas are best made when you are ready to serve. How do I make lots of these sodas at once? Line up your serving glasses and measure each ingredient into each glass. Although I have not tried it, you could mix the peppermint syrup, chocolate syrup, and milk for your chosen quantity in a pitcher or measuring cup and then divide it among your glasses before mixing in the soda water.
