Can I Make This Queso Without a Microwave?
Yes! No microwave? No problem. You can make this dip in the oven or air fryer. To make this dip in the oven, transfer the cottage cheese mixture to an oven-safe dish, add your cheese and cook at 350F for about 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted. Pro tip: add additional shredded cheese on top and broil for a few minutes for some added cheesy goodness! To make this dip in the air fryer, transfer the mixture with cheese to your air fryer and cook at 350F for probably 5-10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted.
How to Store Leftovers
In the fridge: Place any leftover queso in an airtight container and refrigerate it for 2-3 days. Reheating: To reheat, gently warm the queso in the microwave, stirring every 30 seconds. You can also reheat it in a saucepan over low heat, adding a splash of milk or water if the queso has thickened too much.
