Ingredients Needed
plain greek yogurt – can’t have frozen yogurt without the yogurt! I prefer using full-fat, plain Greek yogurt, which is thicker and a bit more rich. It’s what makes this frozen dessert super creamy. It also provides a good amount of protein. My favorite type of yogurt to use is the Fage 5% plain Greek yogurt. frozen bananas – this acts as the natural sweetener in this recipe and provides additional creaminess. I like to peel and chop the banana before freezing which makes for easier blending. You can also follow my full guide on how to freeze bananas.
How to Make
This banana frozen yogurt recipe couldn’t get any easier to make! Blend: Add your yogurt and frozen banana chunks to a food processor or high-speed blender and pulse/process until smooth and creamy. This usually takes 4-5 minutes in the food processor. You may need to turn off the motor and stir the mixture a few times while processing so it blends evenly. Serve: Once smooth and creamy, add to bowls and enjoy right away. If you want it to be scoopable, you can freeze the mixture for about an hour. Bring it out of the freezer and let it thaw for a few minutes before scooping.
